Our People

Behind the Production

Richard Chance is a music producer, film/TV composer and theatrical director of 25 years. He has scored multiple prime time television shows such as Posh Pawn, Restaurant Wars and Absolutely Champers (Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders), and enjoyed hits in the UK charts working with Decca and Universal. As a multi-instrumentalist his work in the music streaming realm has exceeded several million plays and he has been a regular first call session musician, appearing on shows such as Strictly Come Dancing, Top of The Pops and Sports Personality of the Year.  As chief executive of Legends Live Ltd he brings a wealth of musical and live experience to all shows, and has been involved with the family business for 22 years.

Founder of Legends

Trevor Chance started his career as a session guitarist in Newcastle Upon Tyne in the 1960’S. In the 1970’s, managed by Don Black and Michael Grade he recorded three albums with RCA as a vocal artiste, and toured with Buddy Rich and his band. He was the first ever winner of New Faces, regularly making guest appearances, and was officially the most featured session vocalist on BBC radio during the 70’s and 80’s.

A songwriter, record producer and director, with close involvement in television production, Trevor Chance's varied journey to becoming the creator of Legends gives him the experience and expertise to cover every aspect of creative production.

Company Director

Former show business journalist (Club Mirror, Club News and Cabaret and Variety Review) and founder member of Legends Live Ltd (formerly Chance Promotions), Brenda Chance heads up the promotional and contracts team for the company, co-producing the Legends shows. With over 40 years experience behind her in every aspect of the Management, Legal, Financial and Agency side of the business, from touring and theatre through to cruising, Brenda brings a wealth of experience to the table.

Choreographer & Creative Designer

Wendy has been making magical things happen with Legends since 1997. She works tirelessly year-round on dance routines, costumes and grand finales, helping to realise adventurous and spectacular moments on the legends stage. In any one Legends show there may be up to 30 dance routines, with incredible quick changes back to back - all down to Wendy to set in motion.

She has found time to work luxury cruise liners, choreograph TV adverts, stage world-class corporate events and even star as a tiller girl! Her commitment to quality makes her integral to the legends production team.

Head of Wardrobe

Triple threat performer Leanne Fury has worked in hundreds of shows including contracts with Celebrity Cruises, QDos Entertainment and as Lady Gaga on the Legends stage, as well as appearing in Blood Brothers in the West End from a very young age.  She is also a distant relative of the late great Billy Fury.  When not singing, Leanne is heavily involved in running the wardrobe department!

Legends performers can go through hundreds of garments in just one show!  The Legends costume facility is our biggest storage area, and contains incredibly glamorous and bespoke outfits for nearly sixty different 'Legends', each with at least eight different 'routined' songs.  Suffice to say, Leanne keeps busy with the upkeep, creation and repair of said costumes, which are also available in limited numbers for hire.  Contact us for details.

Sound and Production Design

Nigel heads up the touring and resident production teams for multiple shows throughout the year here at Legends, as well as overseeing set design and installation.  His vast experience in front-of-house sound has earned him many accolades in the industry, and his talents as a designer and creator are at the forefront of our Heroes And Legends brand, seeing Nigel create everything from scale satellites and space ships to imaginative and daring stage sets.

Lighting Design

Oliver Wilkinson is a TPi Award Nominated Lighting Designer who has worked with artists and clients from around the world. He has designed for clients ranging from Dionne Warwick to Russell Watson.

Oliver is delighted to bring his passion for pushing boundaries to Trevor Chance's Legends.

“This is an energetic, fast-paced show, along with some beautiful dramatic moments and solos. We keep it very theatrical, to ensure that the show stands out in a town offering lots of entertainment options.”

Music Supervisor

With a vast number of shows out each year, the musical back catalogues of nearly 50 different superstars, including their full orchestrations, is managed with decades of experience by Malcolm Gentles.  A formidable musician who has musically directed the shows of countless name acts across many tours, cruise liners and theatre dates, Malcolm has been a long serving member of the Legends team.

Musical Director

Denis is a recording artiste, multi-instrumentalist and studio producer and is responsible for the arrangements for the bands and orchestras across all Legends shows.  He is also the lead guitarist on many dates.  His talents live and in the studio are used to recreate the authentic sounds of each original artiste and his experience as a songwriter help shape the spellbinding arrangements heard on the Legends stage.

Lighting and Special Effects co-ordinator

David has worked with Legends for the last 25 years and heads up our visual effects department.  As a highly experienced lighting designer he brings an imagination and flair and along with Oliver we are able to achieve the highest possible degree of spectacle in our productions.

Videography & Stage Management

Charlie attended film school in Edinburgh and is a keen filmmaker in her own right.  She is responsible for our vast library of video which is projected live on events where we feature A/V.  Her imaginitive take on each musical number has given us some incredible results and gives the illusion of our 'Legends' further depth.  Charlie is also part of our touring team and handles stage management on large scale shows.

Crew Co-ordinator, Front Of House operations

David hails from a recording background and is a highly qualified and experienced sound engineer.  A show as diverse in style and sound as Legends requires us to have a dedicated team who can bring together the right crew, designers and talent and David is across many departments backstage - and out front -  at Legends.

Graphic designer and Marketing Associate

Wes works across multiple disciplines to bring our marketing and graphics output together.  He is a talented designer and also a musician himself, and is very passionate about the branding and promotion of Legends.
